A veteran of the Korean War and the battle of Pork Chop Hill, Leon was one of the mature, professional, enlisted NCOs who kept the helicopters in the air. He served twenty-two years and attained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. Long retired from the Army, Leon now lives in western Australia.
